Their Need: As a special gift to guests onboard the Holland America Line 50th Anniversary World Voyage, Holland America Line commissioned the development of a commemorative journal. The journal was envisioned to include artwork depicting past world cruises, historical facts about ports of call over the half century, onboard traditions and details about the world cruise ships. The Solution: Cindy Combs researched and secured all the elements for the journal. Additionally, she managed the project working closely with both Holland America Line and the publisher of the journal. The result was a one-of-a-kind hardbound book that was a treasured memento for guests. It provided a glimpse of the World Cruises of bygone years while providing pages that guests could use to chronicle their own memories.
